Share Tweet Share NewsRegional Trinidad man kills wife, injures child and commits suicide by: Caribbean Media Corporation – November 16, 2015center_img 374 Views   no discussions Share PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad, (CMC) – The Ministry of Social and Family Services Monday appealed to people to seek professional help after police said a 25-year-old man stabbed his wife to death and severely injured his daughter before committing suicide in south Trinidad.Police said the child, Artie, who suffered wounds to the throat and arms, is now a patient at the San Fernando Hospital.The authorities said Premnath Ramkhelawan was found hanging at the back of his father-in-law’s home at Laltoo Trace in Penal, south of here, where he had lived with his common-law wife, Aarika Bhim.Bhim and the couple’s daughter were found lying in the back seat of a motor vehicle in a bushy track near the home.Bhim had wounds to her chest and throat.Minister of Social and Family Services Cherrie Ann Crichlow-Cockburn is pleading with families who need help to reach out.“The ministry provides counselling services, so all they need to do is contact the ministry and we will send out a social worker to meet with them. We provide counselling and if they require additional counselling we will also refer them,” she said.“The public must be aware that there is help out there,” she added.last_img read more

15th ranked Men’s Soccer stifle Chargers on the road

first_imgNext Game: Live Stats Preview Watch Live at West Alabama 10/20/2019 – 3:30 pm Full Schedule Roster Huntsville, Ala.- A goal in each half propelled the 15th ranked West Florida Men’s Soccer Team to a 2-0 victory over UAH on the road Friday night at Charger Park in a crucial Gulf South Conference contest for both teams.The win moves UWF to 9-1-1 on the year and 5-1-1 in the GSC while the loss slips the Chargers to 4-6-1 and 2-2-1 in conference.The first half of the match was dominated by the Argonauts has they were able to outshoot UAH by a total of 12-7 and earn five corner kicks as opposed to zero for the home team. Despite the number of chances, it looked as though the match would head to halftime scoreless though.Fortunately for the Argos, redshirt senior Sean Hoffstatter came through in the 44th minute off an assist from Davi Alves.
