President tells envoys to strengthen bilateral cooperation

(Colombo Gazette) While the High Commissioner of Seychelles will be based in Colombo, others will function as non-resident concurrently accredited Ambassadors with residence in New Delhi. President Sirisena, referring to the close bilateral relations with Sri Lanka and the countries represented by the new envoys, expressed confidence that they would strive to further strengthen the bilateral friendship and cooperation in many areas including trade, investment and tourism. Three Ambassadors and a High Commissioner presented their credentials to President Maithripala Sirisena at the President’s House in Colombo, today.The envoys are Nejmeddine Lakhal- Ambassador of the Republic of Tunisia, Jose Ramon Baranano Fernandez – Ambassador of Spain, Archil Dzuliashvill- Ambassador of Georgia and Conrad Mederic- High Commissioner for the Republic of Seychelles. read more
